Westminster Earrings
Solange has drawn inspiration from the cruciform architectural layout of Westminster Abbey and reinterpreted it with a contemporary spin. Based on the floor-plan, these earrings are fashioned from 18 karat yellow gold, to form a frame in the shape of a cross. Diamonds, set in a pavé style, demarcate the chapels, while a blue sapphire stands at the altar. Rubies and emeralds adorn the transept of the cathedral, separating the laity from the clergy and choir stalls, which are all crafted from 18 karat gold.
Located at the heart of the city, Westminster Abbey is an iconic landmark in the London skyline, and these earrings pay homage to its profound role in English history.
